Is Yasuo's Windwall working as intended on 'Boomerang' abilities?

I have no clue how it interacts with other similar abilities but Yasuo's W handles Ekko's Q really weirdly.

You fire your Q as Ekko out, it goes behind Yasuo, Yasuo windwalls the space between me and him/in front of him (reminder the Q is behind him) and as Ekko's Q returns it just vanishes despite Yasuo being in front of the windwall technically.

Anyone else come across weird Boomerang bugs?
