First Minion wave Aggro bug/Consistent?
I've noticed in several of my games that if neither player strikes the minions first until they are to about 55%, the first (ranged? only applies to mid lane?) auto will DISRUPT the minion on minion aggro and cause them to chase you for about .5seconds, and then relatively quickly snap back to focusing your minions. It sounds insignificant, but really the whole time the warriors are running at you, they are getting wailed on by your minions, causing the wave to push out.
Happened to me earlier today, so I thought I'd record it and see if this is intended or what-- because I can't think of another time when minions draw aggro simply from being attacked.
From the minions wiki page: they choose their target using a priority system that follows this order:
- Enemy champions attacking an allied champion. 2)Enemy minions attacking an allied champion. 3)Enemy minions attacking an allied minion. 4)Enemy turrets attacking an allied minion. 5)Enemy champions attacking an allied minion. 6)The closest enemy minion. 7)The closest enemy champion.
Once a minion has chosen a target, it only switches to a new target if the new target has higher priority.
Observe tier 3 and tier 5. Smells like spaghetti to me. My guess is that the minions check for a new target, but they fail to realize that there are minions next to them fighting. Say, it scanned for nearby conditions, which should include the minion fighting, but does so exactly right at the end of EACH of their auto attack animations. It actually looks like this is happening if you watch closely. Which again really smells like spaghetti, since the minions are clearly in a deadlocked auto attack loop. I think the condition of ALL THREE warriors being synced only happens when two fresh and untouched waves collide, which is usually just the beginning vs melee champs. Am I actually so unlucky to have this happen to me at least a half dozen times? Lol?
Watch link for proof and a quick point at the state of the minion wave after. Sorry for the video being so short, but believe me that the wave push actually echoes hard against a skilled opponent.
