Champion Select gave 5 seconds to select a champion and then said I failed to select

I was in champ select and it wasn't my pick. It became my pick, but it didn't tick through the whole timer before dodging me and telling me I was removed from queue for failing to select a champion. It took about 5 seconds from becoming my pick to the auto-dodge.
