I watched a whole day live on their watch.lolesports.com site and numerous vods as well and haven't gotten any credit as well.

Edit: It just started working for me today apparently, no idea why.

Hey guys,

So I have contacted Riot Support about this and apparently you need to watch longer videos. The short 1v1s and 2v2s are not counting consistently because the videos are too short. Try watching through the URF, Nexus Blitz, and SR games.

If you're running out of time, watch them at 2x speed. It's hilarious to hear the casters sound like hamsters =) And be sure not to skip any part of the VOD.

Let me know if this works for anyone.

I looked at the FAQ and it said to try watching for at least 15 minutes. None of it seems very consistent though. I am at 8 of 12 watched for the emote and I must have played over 40 today alone. I think at least once a 7 minute one counted before I saw the FAQ that said to try for over 15 minutes. Since then randomly some will count but the vast majority do not. Since it's not consistent I can't say if watching at 2x speed counts or if it just cares about actual minutes watched or what.

If you're trying to complete the VoD viewer mission, but finding it not progressing, try the following troubleshooting steps before writing in:

Disable any adblockers you may be using, and restart your browser

Re-login to the LoLEsports website

Ensure that you're watching at least 10 minutes of the VoD; if the VoD is shorter than 10 minutes in duration, try to find other VoDs that are 10 minutes and longer

If it's still not working, you can contact Riot Games Player Support asking which VoD's may have already been watched and which have not. And finally, you can also try to use the League Friends app to get your VoD credit.
