Zombie Ward not working!

So I'm a support main and often take Zombie Ward because the vision in lower elo is power, but I noticed that wards I placed weren't giving my ghost wards when they timed out and even enemy wards I would destroy weren't giving me a ghost one.

destroying enemy wards no longer gives a zombie ward in return and zombie wards only last a short while and are visible so maybe they were either destroyed or timed out and you missed it.
