Play button not working, every other game

For the last few days, the PLAY button wont let me start a game. it's grayed out like its going to do patching.. except there's no progress bar like when it actually patches. This keeps happening over, and over, and over again. randomly after I finish a game. randomly after I restart client.

Right Now, after startup, it was grayed out for some minutes. Then it came back. So I tried to queue pu, pressed flex, pressed confirm.. and then got a popup, "league of legends is currently patching, please wait till the update has finished"

(pressed okay. now its back to being greyed out)

???? Its not patch time??

WTH is up with that?
