(gameplay) Malzahars' "Call of the Void" precise bug

I'm was trying to outplay this Malzahar, and I made an assumption of when he's going to play his Call of the Void since we're in a team fight so I flash behind him, while he casted it, but I was trapped in his ability even though he casted it in front of him and I was behind him. This is frustrating because the ability happened mini seconds before the Call of the Void was casted, and before the particles showed on the screen. The ability should be shown exactly as it is "casted". I made an outplay but It didn't work. So I couldn't do anything while being stunned behind him. as his ability was clearly right in front of him. I don't have any footage because I'm the average player with a slower computer and I can't record my games, even though I consider it.
