Ignite does full damage in one instant?

I have seen it twice now where ignite does its full damage at the end of its duration rather than slowly ticking away. In both instances ignite should not have been able to secure a kill but there would be a sudden damage tick for 270 true damage. I'm not sure what causes this but it needs to be fixed.
