I played some ranked games yesterday and after 2 wins in a row, there was an animation that popped up that said that i've been promoted to Silver V. I went to my profile and it still says that i'm in Silver V. I honestly don't even understand promos or how the ranked system works, but i thought i had to go to bronze first? How can i be Silver V already after only recently playing ranked matches? Can someone explain this please. Is this a bug?
Your 10 matches from promos decide what rank you will be in afterwards. From there you can either climb up higher, or you can go lower. You don't necessarily have to start in Bronze.
Before getting a rank you have to play 10 placement matches. those 2 matches were probably your last 2 out of those ten. After you play those 10 macthes, you'ill get a rank based on your wins/losses (not sure about score). You can even start in higher ranks, tho if its your first time playing placement matches you'ill probably be in bronze or silver.
