[CLIENT/GAMEPLAY] Sound not working in game

In about 1 of 10-20 games recently, the in game sound has been mysteriously gone. This issue had never occurred until a week or so ago and I have 2k+ games, probably nearly 1k with my current computer setup. When a game loads there is just zero game sound despite all the client sound settings being proper and my sound working outside of the league of legends game just fine.

I am not sure what could be the cause but it's extremely frustrating to not have sound in game (after becoming so used to relying on it) and in one game that I expressed my frustrations, another summoner told me he/she has been having the same issues as of late. I'm not sure if there is any info I can give you to help investigate this bug, but please let me know if there is.
