Azir, E, Not Working

I was just playing a match as Azir vs an Akali. Every time the Akali would engage me and I attempted to Q, E away, Azir would just stutter in place and nothing would happen; however, my E still went on full CD. I had no problem using E while being attacked by other champions that game, only Akali.
