Playing top lane hecirim and when i use e half the time the enemy is knocked the opposite way

i straight up knock a a guy he flys the way i come from. expecially when i make an effort to run pass the enemy so that i can push them into my team he still goes away from my allies to ward where i currently am and away from where i knock them
