Since patch 5.22 WiFi seems extremely touchy

My internet, hardware, or organization of the home/computer/router has not changed. However, since 5.22, my wifi connection when playing has been extremely touchy while in champ select or loading. I've experienced several disconnects during champ select (thanks leave buster for not letting me play again afterwards), and while in the loading screens, the client has just stopped progressing. It'll respond, but once the timer hits 0 in champ select, or I'll just sit there in loading forever, and not join the game until I close the app and re start it.
