"The Hunt" side quest makes Rengar weaker, not stronger.

So i was watching Nightblue3's recent video and he actually mentions it in the video. But apparently if Kha'Zix and Rengar partake in "The Hunt" side quest and Rengar wins he actually gets WEAKER as a result not stronger. Nightblue3 completed the hunt in this video at around 9:50 in the video and you can actually see his total attack damage DROP from 901 to 884 as a result.

Its rare enough for the hunt to activate but I think this is something that should be looked into.
