Logging In times out a dozen times before finally successfully logging in

Sometimes it takes me like 5-6 tries to log in to the game.
it will get passed authentication really quick every time reliably. like half a second or less. then it will say "logging in..." which will just stay like that with the loading animation until it timeouts and quits client to where i have to relaunch from the beginning.
it does this anywhere from 3-10 times. but 5-6 is generally the average. i havent had it do any less than 3 and rarely goes more than 6, but i have to just keep restarting client until it lets me log in all the way.
