Malzahar passive and talons passive?

So I was just picking cause of his spellshield passive VS to try and block out 1 hit so he doesn't stack his bleeding effect. but it was still applied for blocked attacks! I want to know if this is a bug or not as I am rather annoyed it doesn't block it out the stack of blades end How to replicate 1:have a malzahar VS talon 2: have talon attack malzahar when his shield is up. get bleed stacks. I did some testing (after TRYING to find marking champs. but for some reason and aren't in the practice tool.) if your hit by it doesn't apply a bleeding mark when your hit which is ALSO a on hit bleed passive. not an actual skill,the passive. but his Q still gives a mark...why? idk. maybe its a bug with skills
