sometimes when you're in the middle of the q cast and the unit you're casting it on dies. the q goes on cooldown without giving you health nor charging a stack

and* you don't get the gold either, drives me nutz too. Its like "did I or did I not, this isn't logically adding up riot". Same goes for Ryze E spreading to targets around a unit that died while you were applying it but some how you don't get the cs.
Tell me more about the problems of Master Yi's Alpha Strike ability...
It's not a bug, it has a .25 second cast time and if your target dies during that cast time you effectively missed your Q.
