Chat block in champ select

Ok, this is really starting to annoy me. This has happened about 12 times in the past month, and it's where I get into champion select, I instantly get blocked from typing so I can't call my lane

This just recently happened to me, and I feel like this time was because I dodged (due to another bug where champion select went black and I couldn't see or do anything, so I closed the client), but it's happened many other times where I'm pretty sure I hadn't dodged before. And besides, even if it was for dodging, really? Dodgers already get a time penalty before they can get back into queue, but also they get blocked from champion select chat for a few seconds? That's kinda ridiculous.

I hate people who dodge just because they didn't get the lane they wanted, but what about me and other people who HAVE to close the client or something? I waited 5 minutes because of the first time, with the bug, and I tried getting back into a game, and I got blocked from typing. So then I dodged again because the only lane left was support and that's literally the one thing I can NOT do, so now I have to wait 15 more minutes.

This is bullshit, Riot. I'm sick of being punished for bugs/connection problems that YOU GUYS are responsible for. I understand it's not easy to fix every problem in a game like this, and when you fix some, more will come up. But this has been happening for quite some time now, and you shouldn't give people penalties because of things that were caused by you
