Soraka silence and Lux ult

I was playing as Soraka and saw Lux wanted to ult. I Used E to silence her when se was in the air charging laser, but it didn't stop her. Can't Lux be silenced during laser charging or is it a bug?

Lux's ult isn't channeled so it wouldn't be interrupted. It just has a long cast animation.

Yeah, you can't interrupt it except with something a lot more state-changing than that. But even if you could, Soraka probably wouldn't stop it. Her silence seems to take a while to actually take effect. i've been ulted by Malz with her when I used the silence, then he was almost immediately silenced and his ult was almost completely wasted.

Not a bug. Silences stop abilities from being initiated and interrupt channels; neither of these were occurring in this instance.

Ok, after all I'm new to LoL, so how can I know which abilities can be silenced and which just have long cast animation? I can guess this can be interrupted: Malzahar Ult Velkoz Ult MonkeyKing Ult Rammus Ult Hecarim Ult Fiddlesticks Ult

and these can not: Lux Ult Ezreal Ult

If I'm right then I guess I pretty much get the point

Malzahar Ult is a channel -> gets interrupted Velkoz Ult is a channel -> gets interrupted MonkeyKing Ult is NOT a channel -> does NOT get interrupted Rammus Ult is NOT a channel -> does NOT get interrupted Hecarim Ult is NOT a channel -> does NOT get interrupted Fiddlesticks Ult, first part before blink is a channel -> gets interrupted, second part after he blinks with big AOE deeps is NOT a channel -> does NOT get interrupted
