If I que up multiple potions and die while that happens, even the unused potions are no longer in my inventory. Obviously, it should cancel the use of potions qued when dead.

They are used up the moment you click them, so no.

That makes no sense in any way. Just because they're qued doesn't mean they're used. A que implies an order in a line. If said potion has not been activated and is not ticking, it isn't logical for it to no longer be in invetory.

If you burn 3 potions when you're about to die you deserve to lose them anyway, best thing to do is chug 1 pot and then just as it's running out chug the next, it's just bad recourse management from your part and you was punished for it

Consider it like this: The effect of a potion is that for the next X seconds, you gain health per second. Using another potion and doubling the health regen would be OP, so instead the duration stacks. But you still have to use the potion to get the stacked duration. If you didn't use the potion, the old potion should run out. You used the second potion to extend the duration of the first one, so you don't get it back.

Also, if you burn 5 health potions, that's 75 seconds of health regen. So you still could have a lot of duration left after you come back(depending on how long death timer is) By being killed, you waste a bunch of it, just as you would for other long duration potions(elixirs mostly), but you still get the remaining duration, if any, when you revive.

You are arguing that it happens and thus should remain so. This makes no more sense than being able to chug potions at full HP. Just because it is this way now doesn't mean it is intelligent gameplay. All it does is make you waste gold if you accidentally press a button twice. There is no gameplay element improved by it and I think you know it.

It's inconsistent even with Riot's own changes. For example, you cannot chug a potion at full HP. It's just a symptom of LoL's age and was never a good idea.
