[Gameplay] Kat Q cancel?

SO not sure if this is actually a bug, I think this might have been a thing before the change but I didn't play Kat very often. Just played my first game with her and noticed that this seemed a bit odd.

I cast Q on the enemy Kayle and you see me start the animation and make the sound
it is immediately cancelled when the Kayle steps into a bush
My Q never went on CD.

It seems very minor but was this intended to be this way?

Considering Rito's stance on counterplay, this would be considered a bug. Faking casting an ability might bait out something like Sivir spellshield especially if the enemy can also hear the sound. Obviously they will be able to see the cast animation to the point before cancelling. If any ult would have such a fake cast mechanic, that would be totally unfair and bait out flashes like no other day. That sounds kinda dirty, doesn't it.

If it was just animation cancelling, the spell would still take effect and go on CD. That could actually be considered a mechanic really as we have seen animation cancelling on Riven for example.

Well if this is a new bug I hope it gets some attention. And I doubt this is the only issue here there were a couple things that felt awkward when playing her but this is the only thing that jumped out to me like "wow that's not right"
