AFK Checks don't come

It seems all to frequently, I am playing with friends in draft pick and after 10 minutes of waiting, my friends say that the afk check popped up, but mine just doesn't come. My screen just looks normal as if it were still searching and it will not allow me to accept it. Sometimes it'll pop up for a flash of a second soon after the check is over and then dissappear, telling me the queue was cancelled because I didn't accept the afk check. It's really annoying that this happens so much to me, especially when the queue times can be so long.
