Needs to log in twice in order to connect

Hey there. I'm having a problem recently when I log in, and the server cannot connect me. I have to exit, click my icon again, have it do something (the icon appears on my dock but it doesn't show anything and disappears after a minute or so,), and then log in again to actually be connected to the server.

One thing that might be worth noting is that the first time I connect, the newest login screen shows, but the second time, I get the "Welcome to League of Legends" login screen.

I have a Mac, and would appreciate it if someone helped! Thank you in advance!
