The game only lets me use Assist Pings

No matter what I do it's the same. Everytime I try to ping, my cursor drops all the way down and I can only use assist. First I thought it was my gaming mouse (razer hex) but even when I switch to a basic mouse it still only uses Assist Pings.

Please help! Pings are important to gameplay an I need them
