[GAMEPLAY] Attack move frequently not working

Hethalean··4 votes·7,401 views

Frequently attacks either nothing and you just walk towards the person you clicked on or near, or if you click 50 teemos from an enemy champion vs 500 from a turret, attack move is like you want to attack the turrent, bam got you boo. In any case, I thought attack move was supposed to attack the closest thing you attack move next to so you don't hav to have super human robot clicking ability. If not the case, would be nice to know so I can chop off my hand to replace with robotic arm for dat dank 110% accuracy. ;)

Question for you: There are 2 separate check boxes related to attack moving. Both of them are under the Game tab. If you scroll down all the way to Gameplay, one of the boxes is auto attack, which should make it so if you are just standing still, you will start attacking. The other one is attack move on cursor. Do you have the 'attack move on cursor' box checked or unchecked?

I have Attack Move On Cursor checked and Auto Attack not checked. Is this what I have been missing? I guess I've never seen these before, but I haven't checked for a while... Or I've forgotten. Memory live a sieve you know.

basically this https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/patch/patch-59-notes#patch-new-attack-move-functionality

the description in-game is very misleading. I had the same problem this guy had so i went and searched info about it

TLDR: "We've added a new feature, "Attack Move on Cursor," that will attempt to attack move the target nearest your cursor if you target the ground near them."

Basically, even if your mouse cursor is close to an enemy, if you don't click on the ground near them, you're going to attack the closest target near you

PS: This only answers the enemy champion and turret problem. I don't know about the "move instead of attack-move" thing

Thanks for the information! That is not an intuitive in game description.

i'm not sure if this is the same as what that guy said above, but very often when i use both the move click and the attack-move click my champ will first move to the location i pressed with move then attack move.

What i mean is that the attack-move won't cancel the move command and will do everything in order.

Dude I've noticed this too. I haven't seen any posts about it, but I think they may have changed the way attack move functions on the back end.

I've had a bunch of times where I attack move on a range character like right behind a champion, and my guy just keeps walking toward them without attacking them.

It has been weird, but I took a 8 month break so I might have missed something.

I've noticed this too. Basically it's like attack move just starts acting like a regular move command. In my case, it will linger through several clicks until it works properly again. I'm usually holding target-champs-only when it happens. Just assumed it to be lag/packet loss tho.
