So the Mac Client seems to have quite a few issues, is this currently being addressed?

So ever since patch 4.20, I've seen various threads pop up with anything from DC issues, not being able to load up into the game, client issues, shadow lag/actual lag, and the list goes on. Just saw the recent 4.21 list of what's being patched, and nothing, that I saw at least, mentioned the ongoing problems on the Mac. I guess I just wanted to know if this was something that was being looked at seriously, or not really that much of a priority right now as we aren't a huge portion of the player base, along with everything going on in the pre-season.

I was just bugsplatting every 2 minutes in game. Incredibly frustrating. Had to abandon since I was doing more harm than good.

Definitely want to up this since it's incredibly frustrating for me to crash every other game. It's completely unpredictable and doesn't seem to have any reason.

I too am currently getting this issue, got it 4 times in a single game worried i will get banned ffrom leaverbuster ;(

Glad to see others are both having the issues, and posting about it. Didn't help that the one time I DC'd when this started, and I can counter on maybe two hands how many times I've DC'd over the two years I've played, I immediately get a Leaverbuster warning. I haven't tried it on the new patch to see what it's like so I'll reserve my judgement, but it seems like others are still getting it with the new patch.

I'm experiencing the same problem as well and it's been a huge inconvenience to my friends and has frustrated me to no end. I haven't been able to play a game without crashing every 2-5 mins or so. Restarting the computer/the game client doesn't seem to work, and my internet connection wasn't the problem (I loaded up other games and some websites shortly after I was forced to abandon one game). Because the client keeps crashing in-game, I got placed in low priority queue over something beyond my control. I hope this gets fixed really soon.

I crashed in a game of dominion and figured this was a rare occasion. I relogged and played another dominion match with the same crash at only one minute into the game. I got frustrated and uninstalled the game completely and restarted my 10.7.4 OS X MacBook Pro 2012. Now, every time I try to reinstall, the patcher crashes when the update is at a mere one percent. I am now stuck with no League to enjoy. I know this issue is extremely common with just about all Mac users. RIOT, please help!

Yeah, I'm having the same thing. It's not letting me connect to a game, I finally get to connect around 13 minutes and by then everyone is far enough ahead that I have to sit in the jungle and farm til about 25mins... Then after the frustration of this happening to me twice in 3 games (one yesterday, one today) I get a leaverbuster warning on top of this. Rito pls.

The only problem I have is constant bug splatting

I've splatted roughly once per game in the last two weeks. This is consistent. I've played about 150 games in that time span. It's really, really fucking annoying. The worst part is that sometimes my character just stands there after a dc and I die. Not sure what happened to the "run back after dc" thing they implemented a while back

I haven't had so many issues at actual gameplay, but if I have, I'm not sure if it's that or my sucky internet. I'm more upset that we don't have the new victory/defeat banners honestly

I use the MacBookPro and I haven't had any lag but right now it"s unable to reconnect to but I can play games and communicate during game but at the home or champ selection

The issues seem to be with specific hardware/OS combinations. I play on a Mac as do people I know, and we don't have any issues. It's not an issue with the Mac client in general, so much as a problem on certain systems (I'm also not convinced these are problems isolated to Mac users, actually, based on the posts I see around).

I know a lot of problems with the Mac client (historically speaking) have been because of people using outdated OS versions. Not sure if that's contributing to anyone's issues here, but it's been a problem in the past.

I think this has more to do with the kind of hardware used in Macs, than the client. On my MacBook Pro with a Geforce 650M I had to disable shadows to have a playable framerate both at 1440x900 and on an external 1920x1200 monitor. Smooth performance on both screens without shadows. I think it's just the mid-range mobile GPUs used in the most common macs (MacBooks and 21" iMacs or base config 27" iMacs) with a dash of having to use OpenGL. (On Windows I think I was able to use low shadows.)

Now on my iMac with a Radeon R9 M295X, I've got everything, including shadows, maxed out and at 2560x1440, and I have to cap my framerate at 80 because otherwise it'll push 140 average and that's unnecessary stress on the fans.

As for the other issues, other than maybe 3 bug splats during the first few months of the new Mac client, and slightly observing the "hitching" issue with death animations (also early on), I haven't encountered any issues that weren't also being reported by Windows users.

im having a problem with my firewall connection, which is a completely different problem with what you guys are having, pretty much it starts to load a match, but it exits out saying windows firewall blocked this program please refer to your firewall. so i check to make sure lol is allowed (which it is!) so i turn off my firewall, and i still get the same problem, like wtf rito? fix your broken game!
