Taliyah W cancelled Ziggs W After Already in Flight & Past It

I used Ziggs W to avoid Taliyah's W. I don't play Taliyah so maybe I got the ability wrong but it's the circular exploding part that knocks you back dealing massive damage. She put her W over my W and I was in the air past it but still got knocked back.

Ziggs has a lot of weird small bugs. For example, his passive is consumed on Illaoi tentacles. He'd probably still be weak at higher levels even if they were fixed but bugs certainly don't help. Ziggs' W is also bugged over some walls near mid and doesn't always make him jump the same distance even if facing the same direction. I once jumped straight up while facing forward and basically didn't move. There are some wonky things going on with it.
