Mundo Viable As Support Or Not?

Hey GD-- err I mean Boards. My first thread since the change.

My question is: "Is Mundo support viable or not? If not why? If yes how to build him, what runes, masteries and against who to play him and not play him?

I played 2 normal games as Mundo support against Leona and Sona as supports and won both times. Got my ADC fed and just wrecked bot lane, then continued to wreck entire game. I build him in this order: Relic Shield-2 pots- yellow trinket ---> Sightstone - Boots - Oracle Sweeper---> Giant spell Or Chain West---> Sunfire Cape - Face of The Mountain - Upgrade boots depending on enemy team comp --> If heavy Ap enemy team --->Spirit Visage --- If Heavy AD comp I neglect MR and go for more HP and Armor or Frozen Mallet.

Now, I'm just a silver scrub so I don't know if this is the right build or not. But I've found it quite strong. Any advice from Higher Elo Support mains or Mundo Mains? What do you think? Slurp

P.S. Idk where to put this thread. xD

He's a bit of a risk. I've done it a few times and just completely tower dived poked-down enemy bot lanes at level 6. That said - he doesn't provide much to the AD carry beyond being a meat shield. No peel, No Hard CC and No Utility.

I want to say he's a poor man's Nidalee, but that would be off.

His real offense is his q, which means it has to always be used to poke his opponents. Maybe with Rylai's, his w (the one that puts flames around him) makes a great peel for your carry. Otherwise, it's easy enough I think to just go around him and kill the carry early game.

Viable? Definitely.

Competitive? No to be honest

It depends on how accurate your Cleavers are. If they're at least 80% accurate, they will respect you and be zoned away. If you can't hit cleavers then you're dead weight.

I could see it working out, like someone else has said though you need to have a high accuracy rate with cleavers. Something I like about the idea of a Mundo support is that Zeke's Herald would actually be a solid item that benefits him as well as the rest of the team. The main thing is if you fall behind, you become beyond useless because unlike a Braum or Thresh you offer nothing outside of cleavers.
