I need some advice.

I'm attempting to take Nidalee to the mid lane. I'm a long time player, but avoided PvP for the longest time. However, I have finally taken to the competitive play. However, I'm having trouble landing those spears of Nidalee's. It's most likely because I try for the largest damage spear, going for long shots and snipes,, which were easy against bots, of course, but should I take a different approach? I would just like an opinion how I should best maximize on Nidalee's damage and improve my accuracy.
