Champion suggestions?

Hello everyone, So I play Annivia. I love playing as Annivia. I am only level 12 currently, but my friends from school are all level 25-30 (except a few), and I almost exclusively play with them so I am much better than my level would suggest (still not that good though). Anyways, Annivia is a relatively difficult champion, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for other champions that are similar to Annivia. I was looking at brand and played a match with him. I prefer ability power ranged. Also I like playing mid, but I would like to maybe learn support, adc, or top to broaden my horizons. Any suggestions would be appreciated but please add reasoning don't just say: "Play x!!!!".

Thanks, GregJarvis

Kennen is a good ranged ranged AP who does well in the top lane, as is Ryze. Both of them can afford to build fairly tanky and have decent sustain. Twisted Fate is a great midlaner that offers global presence to the map, but he's a very high skillcap champion. He has long range poke, lots of options with his W, and awesome farming and gold generation. He's similar to Anivia in that he he offers long rage poke and CC.

For a support, I would suggest starting with a fairly 'safe' long range poke/zoning support given your current playstyle (Morgana, Soraka, Lux, Janna) and I would suggest Tristana as a great first ADC. She has fairly simple mechanics, but mastering them makes you OUTSTANDING, and she's an excellent champ to learn ADC on. Caitlyn is another one that's great to learn on. Both of them are very long range, have wave clear, and you can learn the basics of how to ADC.

Stick to your strengths for the time until you are better at the basic mechanics of the game, then try and learn how to play a tankier or more high risk champion (Good learning how to tank character is Garen, good high risk champ would be a hypercarry like Vayne).

If you like anivia, the two champs I would recommend are Karthus and Orianna. Reasoning being Anivia is a farm reliant, late-game powerhouse both karthus and orianna are huge threats late game. Orianna has very strong aoe ability similar to Anivia, also has an extremely powerful ult. Karthus on the other hand might take a bit more practice. Basically with Karthus your going to want to farm all game untill you get enough items to get going, use your ult in lane to secure kills around the map. Then late-game just like Anivia and Ori he turns into a monster problem is you generally have to be in the middle of the fight to do your max dmg luckily your passive lets you live awhile after your dead so the enemy team has to choose to either A. Focus you and take a crap ton of damage anyway even after your dead or; B. Let you live and do a crap ton of damage.

My personal choice would be Karthus since hes super fun, just hard to get used to.

I picked up Anivia this summer and I enjoyed her a lot. I think if you liked her you might also enjoy Zyra. She has slows like Anivia and AoE's and I think you'd enjoy her turret mechanic. She can be played as a Mid or Support. Though in the current meta I find her more challenging to play mid but still viable.
