This has been the best written guide I've seen for beginners, if you don't mind a decent bit of reading. Good luck!

Okay, I watched all of the bot game and then skimmed through some of the PvP game. It's really good that you had 0 deaths in both games! That's not something that most new players can pull off, even in games with other new players. There is still a ton of stuff that you're doing wrong... but that is okay, you will learn as you continue to play.

In the interest of not flooding you with too much info at once, I will just point out these 3 things.

  1. Veigar Veigar may not be a great champion for you to play. You're a fan of using his W to farm, which is fun, but he actually does much better if you use the Q to farm. Every time he kills anything by using the Q, even minions, he permanently gains 1 AP. If you start doing this right from the beginning and keep doing it all game, you will have an outrageous amount of AP that you didn't have to spend any money for. Farming with the W wastes his potential. If you want to AOE farm, it would probably be better to play another champion who can do that (like Lux, Brand, or Gragas). You also spend a lot of time autoattacking instead of using abilities, which is definitely not Veigar's strong point.

  2. item 3128 During the bot game, you considered purchasing a B.F. Sword for +AD and a Recurve Bow for +Attack Speed. Both of these are incredibly bad items on Veigar. And I'm sorry to have to say this... Boots of Mobility aren't that great either. As much as you may like running around fast, those boots are mainly used by people who are going to leave their lane and surprise enemies in other lanes. You didn't do that at all in either game. Sorceror's Shoes would increase your damage which is more important. You also highly favored buying an early Banshee's Veil when, again, it's really not what Veigar does. Rather than building tanky, it's good if he can be very offensive and blow people up by hitting all 3 of his spells at once. Offensive items will let you do this. Sticking to the Recommended Items (and especially the Offensive ones, when playing a high-damage champion) is important until you really learn the game enough to make your own decisions about items.

  3. item 1052 You said something about not wanting to "be a nerd about it" and spend a lot of time reading, but it's super important. This isn't a game where you can easily just learn everything by experimentation. You didn't know about that Q bonus, and I don't think you knew about the special power of your Tear of the Goddess/Archangel's Staff. They get stronger every time you use a spell, so you should have been using spells (especially your low cooldown Q) all the time. You also didn't carefully read the Smite spell to see that it only works against minions and monsters, even after several attempts to use it on champions failed. Read and understand everything you can, otherwise you will keep doing things wrong for a long time without improving.

There's so much more I could say but I'll leave it at this, because if you do these things (especially the third one) you'll start improving to the point where you can watch videos and streams for further learning.

P.S. I lied. One more thing. If a turret is hitting minions but then it sees you damage an enemy champion, it will immediately switch over to hitting you. That's why you kept getting targeted. It's not safe at all to attack an enemy champion under their turret; that's called tower diving and doing it properly is a very advanced tactic.
