Upgrading your trinket is infinitely better than buying that to help towards your next item.

Yeah, but you should still be moving your pinks around the map. Just because they never found your first one doesn't mean you shouldn't relocate it into a position where it will be more beneficial to the team. You can always buy another if they find it.

Like if you're sieging the mid lane inhibitor tower and you are the purple team you can place a pink ward in the bush right by the one-way entrance between mid and bot lane. That way if they toss a ward over the wall the pink ward will give you permanent vision of it and you don't have to waste your sweeper totem on it. Or you can keep your pink ward over by your bot lane tri-bush since it's giving you full vision, you know, just in case they try to steal the gromp in revenge for you taking their inhibitor.

I think homeguards are soooo underrated. You can get back to lane and get 100-200 you would've missed to your turret of the 475 gold it initially costs. Then you do this several times over the course of the game to make the money back. Just getting back in time for a cannon minion is worth it in xp/gold.

I seriously have no idea why getting homeguards earlier isn't stressed enough, it's such a great value in returning to your lane and getting CS you would've otherwise missed. Sometimes if you're lucky you can even get back in time to burst someone down and kill them for 300 gold.

You're not wrong. But I think proper creep wave manipulation (especially in toplane) can help avoid you losing those few minions anyways.

Also, there's a few champions where I personally think item 1311 is better than item 1314 (TF, Anivia and Velkoz come to mind) however it is situational, sometimes home guards are better

Yeah it's a great upgrade, but the thing is that all the enchantments are situationally better so people won't always get it. Plus if you have good back timing then it's not as critical as otherwise. So definitely a good pickup but not nearly as important as vision

As others mentioned, if you don't have upgraded trink at 9, you might as well don't do it at all because that's the pivotal point of the game.

Also, Co-op games don't require a trinket. :)

:O no it's still definitely worth it. Better late than never to contribute to team vision control. Especially if the game goes longer you'll get plenty of use. But even if you were to only get to place 4 wards before the game finished that would still be gold efficient and of course be 4 more wards than you would have placed.

I just had a match where this was exactly the problem. Me and Jung were the only ones upgraded and no one else was even placing wards. Keep in mind I was AP MID not support, so that's just even worse. And my entire team insisted on facechecking everything. Also, on another note, top lane was playing zac and called himself a tank. but built a warmogs and nothing but AP items. like wtf is that even enough for warmogs heart. I'd assume no but I've never played zac.

I tend to go item 2139 if I'm ahead but otherwise i almost always pick up item 3361 as soon as possible.

lol the teams I get dont even use their trinket wards more than maybe twice per game. It's sick. I want to buy wards and upgrade my trinket, but it always feels like a drop in the bucket because my wards are usually the only wards on the map.

To be fair assassins should be warding at least as frequently as supports because they need to make picks.

You win by killing the nexus after destroying at least 5 turrets. To kill turrets you need damage so if you want to win you should by the damage item.
