Frustrated with Placements

Ok so I'm kind of getting tired of this. How does preseason ranks work. At the end of last season I was B5 so I don't play ranked during the preseason and I come back and do my prelims and I go 7-3 with an overwhelmingly positive kda in every match except 3 .... and I get placed back in B5??? That doesn't make any sense to me can someone explain. I've been playing 3 years. In private matches I often out play my friends that are mostly in gold or higher. This is become a little bit unfair and makes me not want to play because I'm not getting rewarded for my skill level.

Not really when you get ppl who afk and feed intentionally as well as just the sheer amount of playing time it would take to get from B5 all the way just to even silver , I'm just confused on how if ... u go 7-3 with overall positive kda .... how you get stuck in B5 like not even in b4 or b2 or somthing but B5

if you are that good, you should have an easy time climbing.

Don't worry m8. I'm stuck in Bronze 5, and trust me, your position is better than mine. My mmr is around 300, and every game is the same people, with low stats, and twitch building thornmail. You can get out, trust me.

it's based on your rank from the previous season, the only way to climb is to play more ranked.

That would be awesome that's the most helpful response ever. Like I understand alot of the gameplay mechnics and how to play and the decision makings as I watch LCS and played college level sports my self. I just feel that my skill level does not match what my ranking gives me as 2 seasons ago I tried out for a plat/diamond 5s team and they named me an alternative. My IGN is shadowadept so if you add me I'd love to take your advice and see what you think. Maybe I deserve to be in bronze. Though it seems to me that, that hat way of ranking seems incredibly flawed because then you are not really getting ranked on your current skill level but your previous skill level. Because if your just a casual gamer if your 1st placement when you hit lvl 30 is B5 no matter how good u get if you don't play enough to consistently move up you will always be in bronze.

Trust me man it's possible to climb out. In season 4 I placed bronze five as well, and I thought it was hopeless to get out so I just ignored ranked for a while. But I started playing ranked and climbed out fast. I made it to silver 3 by the end of the season. Just do your best and you'll be fine, but remember to not give up. Although now I'm bronze two again cause of placements, but I'm already at 70 points so I'll be back to silver in no time. Just keep playing and you will get out
