What am I doing wrong as adc...

I was playing a match as . The laning phase went pretty well for me although i died a 2 times to ganks. The problem is not this though. When teamfights started, the enemy always chased me and none of my teammates were there to protect me from him. Although sometimes I managed to kill him myself, he always left me with very little HP so i couldn't rejoin the fight. We lost every single teamfight. Team comps were as the following :

Did you get banshee, quicksilver? Perhaps even a Zhonya ?

As an adc you should be having to 1v1. There are adcs like vayne who are good 1v1, but for the most part adcs fail in 1v1 situations. A lot of the problem came from your team not effectively peeling for you, and keeping the enemy threats away from you. I think the biggest problem may just be your mechanics. I didn't see the game or watch you play, but you're only level 18 so I am assuming that your mechanics may not be at the point where you can easily judge how you should be moving and how you should be targetting enemies in a team fight. It's all about positioning. Try to keep your frontline between you and the enemy team (pretty much everyone on your team aside from you and Azir, who I think can frontline when played properly, were meant to be on the frontline). If you keep your team between you and the enemy team then your team should peel for you naturally whether they mean to or not.

If you provide a link to your match history (the game you are talking about specifically) it is much easier for people to provide you with feed back, and help you to understand what may have gone wrong.

you gotta sit in the back by the azir since he can just shurima everyone away, also have to wait for your engage to go in so you can sit behind them and do all the damage so that vlad cant come in unless he wants to go through your whole team first. You just have to position better in teamfights

Against vlad/tf/leona, you need to rush a QSS asap. You can use the QSS to cleanse out of vlad's ult so u dont take extra dmg and can stay in fights longer.

Infinity Edge, Static Shiv, Berserker Greaves, Last Whisper, Banshee's Veil, Blood Thirster. Get all of your damage forward when your team engages. That's the only time you could do damage, then get out and peel yourself, go back in if you can pick someone off. Blitz needed a crucible for TF ult or a Leona ult.
