Help with mid (TF in particular)

To begin, I am an avid mid player, and my favorite champion is Twisted Fate (Although I enjoy Lux too). In the past 6 months i have began to play ranked games, and I play Twisted Fate whenever I can. But the problem is that for some reason, I suck at TF. I know the general strategies and builds, but I just don't do that well, no matter how bad the enemy laner is. At 10 mins, my CS is usually around 60-70, and i havent killed my lane opponent or gotten a kill at all. Any tips or help?

stop trying to kill the opposing laner. TF has amazing poke and farm. Just farm up, then watch the map for gank opportunities.

My advice with TF Your passive provides bonus gold every time you kill ang unit. The bonus gold may only range from one to six, but it can add up in the long run. If your opponent have about the same amount of kills and cs as you, you should have more gold, which, of course, gives you an edge. Your wild cards aren't good for a main method of damage, and they are also slow and predictable. However, they travel far and can go through units they damage without losing damage or anything. They're also a skill shot, so this ability can be used to pick off targets by an enemy turret, enemies hidden in bushes, or can even be used to safely steal kills on neutral monsters. Pick a card has many uses. Blue cards deal the most damage, and replenish mana after the target is hit. This allows you to replenish man's without potions or leaving lane. Red cards deal AOE damage and slow targets that take said damage. Don't bother using red cards unless you're clearing minion waves. Yellow cards stun the target, which is probably the main card you should use. Handy anytime a stun would help, which is often. Stacked deck improves attack speed and deals bonus damage every 4 basic attacks. It is a passive, but can be helpful in fights. Destiny reveals enemies (even cloaked enemies) and allies you to teleport anywhere in a long radius. This is handy for ganks, both escaping and initiating. One time I took down the enemy jungled while he was farming with destiny. Always look for opportunities to use this.

Harass the enemy laner with blue cards right off the bat, while maintaining your farm. Once you're confident in your advantage and the opponent HP, Pop up a gold card, flash, and ignite. Sure, you've popped your summoner spells, however you'll get an edge you need to excell (free farm, more gold and experience, etc.) This is my strategy as TF mid, feel free to use it, and have fun winning!

Use Q before the minions meet each other in lane, launch it so one of the cars heads straight down the approaching line and then clean up with either auto attacks or a red card (If you're relatively safe and/or have the mana.) Even if you don't clean up the minions will be significantly lower then yours and unless you're facing someone with equally decent wave clear you should have minions to support you. Also don't be afraid to use you're ULT defensively. If you can't see any of the enemy team on the mini map it can be very useful to burn Ult just to get eyes on them.

Depending on the match up can determine your skill order. Can do WQE or WEQ or WQQ.

You can harass with your W your Q or with auto attacks and procing the E passive for the extra magic damage. You can last hit really well too if you have to play it safe by just spamming Q and blue cards. Once you get comfortable, you can last hit and harass at the same time with Q.

You don't necessarily have to get kills in lane but its super easy to coordinate with the jungler to get kills. Can get a stun card and use flash then have jungler follow up.

If you can't get close to land any auto attacks or they dodge Q's too well but they stay in the mage minions, you can red card and the damage/slow will hit them then you can follow up with a Q then blue card for mana back.

post 6 you can use destiny to gank lanes/jungle. You can cycle cards during the ult/ lock a card or lock card before ult and have time to land the attack. Just be mindful of how much time you have before it expires. If you get zhonya's you can bait out abilities/summoner spells by ulting into the middle of an enemy team and using the item then have your own team follow up immediately.
