What role should i main?

Ello there. At my peak I was a Gold 1 that just couldn't make it to plat. I've always jumped around in roles and can play every role at a gold level at least. I need help choosing a role and getting really good at it, because being generally decent at the game isn't enough for me to climb the layers. Currently im working so finding some to constantly duo with isn't much of an option, so it's harder to main add or support. I feel that it's hard to win from top lane since it feels like you're on an island, and mid is good cause you can pressure the whole map and have plenty of potential to carry, but it's almost impossunless to play mid in solo queue without someone trolling cause they wanted mid or someone just takes it cause they are further up in queue than you. If you have any opinions or advice please share. Ty =]

Hey, in reality its your choice to main what lane you want to but i mean what do you have fun with? like i mained morg supp for ever (till she got baned everygame)then i went back to playing mid. imo you can carry a game in every single role... even supp. if you watch lcs you see the support roaming all the time getting other lanes snowballing .So i say play what you want to or play what you have fun with from my experence you win the game more often if your haveing fun in it. But its all your choice man XD i main Karthus mid now :D so just do what you find enjoyable :D

Sounds like jungle would be best for you based on what you described.

You have the potential to carry. You get the lanes snowballing. Jungle is usually (from what I've seen in my limited experience) not a hotly contested role - most people will give it up without much drama.

Please main ADC...nobody mains that...and I get stuck with it and am forced to cry horribly in my room and turn in my man card. My happiness level would go through the rough if ADC disappeared from the meta honestly. Don't know why...just find that role to be incredibly boring.

From my point of view you need to play either jungle or support in ranked to keep a good win rate. My reasons are pretty simple too.

Top feels (and actually is I think) the lane which has the least impact in a game. No dragon control and can't gank bot (unless you keep teleport just for it) and in teamfights you're normally a jack of all trades master of none, which won't make that much impact if not ridiculusly fed.

Next is mid, a lane that actually do have a lot of impact in the game, since it can gank bot and top as well as having dragon pressure. In my case however, I never get blue, even if the jungler is lee sin, and since I play swain mid, I end up not doing much.

Next is adc and is probably the most simple. You don't have a good support, you can't carry :(

As a jungler however, you can actually have an impact on all 3 lanes if you wish it, or concentrate on feeding 1 or 2 lanes, depending on how the game is going. Also once teamfights start, jungler normally have either carry potential or CC to help take out main targets.

Finally, support, is kind of dependent on your carry to win the lane, but at least if you're good and he isn't, you could still keep him alive so that the other carry doesn't get fed instead. And of course, once in teamfights, supports are usually the champions with the most utility, and even if it might not be obvious, they have a lot of impact during these teamfights, which is why I think jungler and support are the better picks to main in ranked.

Tl;dr Pick jungler or support because they have a good impact/reliability ratio.

I noticed you didn't mention jungle; I suggest you give that a try, especially because junglers have the ability to influence every lane in the game directly, and also there is more emphasis on carry junglers like Kha'Zix especially in the current meta.

I honestly believe that jungle is the best role to main (being a jg main mahself) as you can very easily change the game with one gank bot and score a drag, it takes a lot of practice but its hella fun.
