i recently started (lvl17) and i am having trouble in pvp games i usally play riven and build her glass cannon with the gaurdian angle for m res and armor , but i die way to fast in pvp bots i do fine i havent really tried a mage or marksman or tank can anyone give me some ideas for new champs to run or just builds . anyhing will help thanks.
The ideal build for Riven is brutilizer -> hydra -> Last Whisper -> BT -> GA, with Lucidity boots and brutlizer upgrading into Black Cleaver or Yomuu's depending on whether you need the extra armor pen from Black Cleaver.
Most of how you survive comes from using your shield to soak up damage, and sustaining from life steal. That aside, Riven has a pretty high skill cap so it might take awhile to learn to be good with her. For example, Most of your damage comes from the autos you weave in between skills. Just q'ing someone three times does mediocre dmg.
As I've seen Riven's in my rank play, they'll generally ultimate, use 1 of their Broken Wings, flash, Ki Burst, finish their Broken wings, then Valor. Not to mention her ult which is good to use when enemy is below 50% health or they flash away from you.
I don't even need to look, becuase at that level most players are terrible at it, but you need to be shooting for 10 CS a min. Gold is important and you should focus on obtaining it any way you can. At the level your at mechanics is what's necessary, not straight kills, so practice your CS, ward placement different champs and builds. If you watch pros even when they are on the run they will CS, kill jung, etc.. Gold is número uno
