I found this game via luck. I really enjoy it but not sure of how to improve. None of my friends play nor have interest so what I have learned is from watching youtube vids. Some have been helpful but ive yet to find a truly beneficial one to help making the decisions in game better. Looking a my match history ive basically lucked into good teams but get flamed a lot in game due to my lack of skill. Any help and/or criticism would be appreciated.

If you find a champion that you truly enjoy playing, look up some guides made by good players : solomid, lolking, lolpro, mobafire, etc. Read a couple and then play the champion your way.
I'd say play a bunch of bots games to start out. Anyone who rages in bots games is a freaking idiot. Second friend people who seem nice and like they might know what they are doing and ask them to help out. Finally if you want someone to play with occasionally add the account I play on Trexhastinyarms (the one on my name I made s3 when my main account hit a ceiling I didn't want to work to get past [gold 5] and I just leveled a second account to try and get to gold on another and see what I could improve in a more chill environment.)
I'd suggest going to watch some streamers as well as some things others have said. Since its live they can talk through their throught process and give out good advice to pay attention to. If you are really new tho its best to just play. Learn about the champs in game so you know what everything is doing. Simple things like what happens when you kill baron? What does Sejuani R do? Is Ashe mobile or Immobile? The easiest questions are what you need to be able to answer.
Online sources like youtube vids and guides are ok, but they aren't always the best. Usually its better to see someone doing things that maybe you'd never think of doing.
GBay99 has some good vids on youtube. Just about everything on league he posts can help you get better. Foxdroplol - Be a Better League Player is also helpful, he's a good jungler. His brother Phylol has some good videos as well. Jeremy from GamingCurios is cool because he explains a lot of basic and more in depth aspects of league in an easy to understand way.
SkyWilliams, Trinimortal, Keyori are entertaining and you can learn things too sometimes. The best way to learn is to just play normals and find champions you enjoy and try to learn each role to at least a decent level. And don't forget to use
