I'm Bronze II , but 2 of the most important things I've learned as an ADC are

1: Hit whomever you can, anytime you can, every time you can, if you can do so safely. It doesn't matter if you keep "Focusing blitz" if Blitz is the only enemy that is in a position you can safely attack them, while you are able to avoid his grab (behind heimer turret, minions, your flash is up, ect) If you can safely hit a target, do it. If you are waiting to hit their ADC or APC and running around not hitting anyone else, you're losing out on DPS. Carpet bomb the enemy with dmg every opportunity you get. In lane its ok if you focus the support if you can kill them or force them to back, thus making it a 1 v 2. Watch for their jungler.

2: Don't necissarily try to "win" your lane or get kills. Farm. Your main focus should be cs, and chances to trade and harass when it ends in your favor. You're a crocodile. You're patient. Bide your time. Be calm. You are more likely to create a situation where the enemy team is more likely to try to make a play to make "something happen" You are in a passive state and can react better, and they miss out on CS, lose the trade, have to back, or you get a kill. Take a little unecissary dmg as possible. If it means losing out on some cs to avoid an enemy attack/aa combo, keep that in mind. Buy a green ward every other back.

Know your enemies, and know your supports. It's not easy with so many members out there, but the more you know what your enemy kit has the better you know how to adjust to them.

I stress know your support as well. Be aware of their skill and play-style, at least in general to adjust to them. For instance a poke focused support may not be as good at doing an all in attack. You may need to wait a little, for the support to poke the carry down further, before going all in since your support won't be able to burn them down.

awareness of heal potential is a big one too from a healer point of view. If you have a healer with strong heals, like soraka, their eager to heal you. You may wish to play a little dangerously, make trades, even some were your take a little more damage then the enemy carry, if you have a better healer then them. A healer with full mana is not doing anyone any good.

On the other hand though just because a support has heals doesn't mean they want to use them. Taric's heals are weaker and best used when both he and your taking damage, sona heals are only efficient in team fights and so she builds her poke early on. Only take extra damage if you have a healer who is full mana or clearly has good early sustain.

The point being remember you have a teammate, and adjust to a style that works with both of you. Your not alone.
