How do I fix bad MMR?

should i soloqueue? I've duo'd with my silver 3 friend for most of silver and had no problems until recently. I thought low MMR would end up giving me 15 per win and -20 per loss or something like that. gaining 16 per win and losing 15 per loss is really weird and has never happened to me before. It's like there's lp missing from somewhere.

you lost games that were beneath you. So the system has decided that you are that good anymore. If your losses and win produce the same MMR your now where the system thinks you should be

That is not how it works, here is a math example of the system. all numbers and math are examples

pretend your normal average is 1. This is your average overall through streaks be they win or losses.

Most of your games are rated .9 to 1.1. You win some your lose some. moving you around but you are still pretty much 1 +- 0.1.

Now you loss a bunch of games but they were rated .7. instead of moving you a little down a little you moved down a lot for every loss. So now your average win rate no longer means anything cause the losses were weighted in a way where you were expected to win. you moved from 1 to .8 or lower

It will take at a lot of games to correct the loss streak where the system though you should win. Not all games are worth the same thing so they and effect your MMR in different ways.
