Tips for a silver looking to get gold?

Okay so i recently decided to try for gold since wanted the next skin but once i reached silver 1 i hit a roadblock. Honestly this isnt one of those screw my teammates post but i noticed a weird pattern in my games. I am usually in game with or against plats and while i understand low golds and even high gold it seems really odd that i meet little to no silvers and have to play against players that are 2 tiers above me. I dont know much about league but is this how it is meant to be because i am starting to feel like i am causing my teammates to lose due to lower cs, lacking mechanics . My win rate is on a decline so is my mmr . 5had0w Fr0st

It seems like you won a lot of your games in a row, so you got up to Gold MMR while you were still in Silver. So now you've been fighting with/against lots of Gold (some Plat) players and you're starting to lose because of that earlier MMR spike.

Generally speaking, the system still thinks you are playing at way higher than Silver level and wants to push you into Gold, that's why you aren't matched with Silver players currently. If you keep playing, it should all even out (you really don't have many games played yet).

Alright I had a little look at your stats and from what I can tell, you're having a hard time due to your MMR. Your normal game MMR is around 1800 which is plat/high gold and your ranked MMR is only 400 points lower, 1400 MMR. Not to mention that you duo with a gold 3 buddy on occasion which kinda screws with your personal MMR.

If I were you I would stop duoing with people above your own rank and also find champions that you like and are good with. You've only played about 30 ranked games so it's still too early to tell where you belong on the ladder. I'm silver 2 with about 500 games played this season, have a fair amount of game knowledge and would be happy to coach you if you like.

Once you do get over that silver 1 roadblock though that high mmr will propel you through gold like no other you could even skip a division if you maintain it at that high of a level

Thnx for the advice i will try to stick to it hopefully i would get through. Trying to do only 4 games when i play to avoid tilting hard
