I'm finding Malzahar fine in that he has no real hard counter midlane, he's fairly decent against anyone.
. I did that in season 3 and got from B5 to B2 no time.

Oh wait, that's not a support champ.
Basically any support will do if you know what you are doing. Except Bard. He sucks ATM and needs a buff. Just learn to play a champ that works for you well. The biggest problem though is you are investing all your energies into an ADC who may not know what he's doing. Just rest assured that playing well as a support will get you out of bronze eventually but you might have to do a little directing and leadership.
Support can kinda carry, but I don't think you're looking at it the right way. Play the game with the intent to improve, not merely to climb ranks. The more you focus on improving your basic mechanics, the better you'll do.
https://earohim.wordpress.com/ that's how I got from bronze 5 to gold 5 in season 4. its possible.. the link is some info that helps climbing "elo Hell"
seriously, are you a masochist or just bad? why do you want to main support?
Yes he can.
Best champions to pick are those who deal damage. And also those you dons see much in your games. (Others will have problems to play against something they don't know.)
Some potential picks:

, I call her noob cleaver.

Any champ can support, but the ones that bring damage on top of support functions usually are easier to carry with at lower levels.
Find yourself a good ADC main you can duo with, one that knows how to last-hit and not shove the lane.
This beast carried me to plat, but it wasn't by just being a support. it was about understanding the game and how things need to be done. There is no instant win formula. You have to improve everything if you want to climb. If you are bronze there are thousands of things you need to understand before you worry about playing 1 role only.
You need to start understanding each role and how they work together and what their goal in the game is. then you can start to focus on more indepth games.
Anyone can carry in bronze. Anyone. You could carry out of bronze as AD
if you were good enough. It's just hard.
I got out of bronze as
with a splash of
and
. Pick a champ you like, get good, make plays, ward, help your team and keep the chat focused on objectives. Getting out of bronze isn't about who you play, but HOW you play.
Depends on what your definition of "carry" is. I keep hearing this term, but it's apparent different people have different meanings to it. Some people think mid is the best to carry because they can kill squishies. It's a decent strat, but is burst always better than dps? Why limit yourself to killing when you can also melt towers like an adc?
Supports are important. They have a role in the team that's hard to replace. Is teamwork really that underrated that people believe supports can't carry? What is with the lone wolf "carry" mentality? Why carry your team when you can carry the game together?
u don't carry u make plays, u cant get tower, u cant pressure side lanes, at most u can get kills that ur retarded adc fail to or fail to prioritize objectives.
i got to silver 2 by playing support shaco all this season, it's all about how you play the game rather than the champ, but understanding your champs inner workings and how to exploit them, how to calm down toxic players before screaming matches start, how the game flows and when to take or guard objectives, how to ward and to get your team to ward better. it's a team game first and foremost, be charismatic and get your team to work together in the early ranks is the most important tool you have. quite often in those early ranks the other team can win hard early game but not know how to finish the match or play around because they are winning so hard for once, it's important to not give up and shoot down the defeatists before they bring morale to the breaking point, sometimes you can do this by encouraging players some players respond better to being "cowardly defeatist pussies" protip, the name calling there isn't about starting shit but to bring to light how much of a coward they are being by giving up so easily, goad them on by asking if they quit when things get to hard irl, are they ever going to get better if they don't rise up to a challenge, instead of thinking about how badly they are losing make them think of ways they can turn the game around, simply bringing these to light in a non aggressive way can really turn some peoples attitudes around and make or break a game. make sure they don't take your rambling on in a bad way though and not everyone can do this without coming off as a cunt though so if it's not your thing don't push it. you can really work on your leadership skills in league of legends and this includes using your pings to point to the next obj, if you notice everyone just kinda running around doing nothing rally the troops and push something. as support you aren't focusing as much on your character in most occasions you can keep track of more things for your team, your eyes should be glued to the minimap whenever possible, you should be able to point out where the jungler is and where he is going with deep wards, pinging where he is on the map will help others know when to back off in their lane or help the jungler counter jungle, if mids missing and your mid didn't ping it bring it to others attention and play more cautiously in your lane.
btw it's taken this long to get to silver 2 because i haven't had internet for periods at a time and i tend to only play every now and then nowadays, got as far as my diamond promos last season
Totally. It is more of an indirect carry where you get other people fed and provide initiation/peel, but playing support can help you get out of bronze at the very least just because so few actually are good at support in bronze.
My recommendations
Strong initiating. Great teamfighting. Hard to kill. And does a surprisingly high amount of damage for someone who builds full tank.
Works well defensively and offensively. Has a kit that makes him a pretty much staple pick in terms of being a quality support.
Works great in solo que if you can land hooks.
One of those champs who can actually build damage if they end up getting fed as support. Also has a huge aoe stun.
Doesn't do a huge amount of damage late game, but immunity to cc is still very effective in many ways. Plus the snare lasts for a shit ton of time.
No. Just take blitzcrank mid. Get one kill lvl 3-6 and you win. Your high-ass-base-damage-100%-scaling-ult-with-silence-on-a-20-second-cooldown will win the games.
It is. Very very easily too. Thing is you dont wanna play a support that relies on your teammates in bronze, so you can play Annie, Nami, Zyra, Sona etc... Anything that has range and can 1v2 the lane.
On my main account, I played Janna, Nami, Zyra and Sona to Diamond, people were just not aggressive enough for me to play Leona/Thresh.
Poke, be very very aggressive (Poke everytime adc goes for a cs). However, dont take 200 minion damage everytime you poke, play smart. When you poke, make him choose to either... Poke you or miss that cs.
