Need a Jungle for Ranked

First time on boards... I was hoping to find a good champion to jungle with in ranked.

I can play all other roles decently, but whenever I get stuck with jungle I don't have a solid champion that I can confidently play. I main ADC and Support, and prefer long ranged or ultra tanky champs. I would like a semi-support/tank sort of jungle, and even if they fall behind a little then they don't become completely useless. I really would just like to learn one or two decently so that I can use them for a while, so if they don't really go out of meta too hard that would be nice.

Thanks a lot!

He's not as popular as other junglers but Nautilus can easily clear fast without taking much damage and he has 4 ways to cc, so you can build 100% tanky (e.g. Ancient Golem, Sunfire, FH, Randuin's, Locket) and still provide monstrous utility for your team by initiating with ult or anchor, and just wading in and locking people down with autoattacks.

You just want to avoid using him when your team has low damage overall.

it depends on what your jungling style is going to be. Is it going to be to farm a lot early then jump out and suddenly go for kills. If that's your style then i recommend Udyr or master yi. Or if your style is to more support your lanes to get THEM the kills and get them rolling then I suggest rammus, his ganking potential is incredible and its easy to gift kills with him. But it all boils down to your style.

Probably supporting the lanes more, I tried Rammus but I felt pretty useless late game, the taunt only helped a little especially if more than one person on the team was doing damage (eg I taunt the ADC but the APC gets to attack). Or am I just doing something wrong?

Sej sounds like a god pick, I'll try her out thanks!

Personally a fan of of Rammus, Xin Xiao and Lee Sin.

Rammus is great against team comps with large amounts of AD due to his W/E + Thornmails. When I play him, I don't really end up supporting lanes and instead carry. If I don't end up getting fed, he falls neatly into a support role with his taunt.

Xin Xiao is great at staying in the jungle and coming into a lane to either secure a kill or burn the enemy's flash. I personally build him as a hybrid tank, this way I heal like mad, my autos hurt, and getting hurt isn't a big thing.

Lee Sin is Lee Sin. He's got a reputation of being OP for a reason.

Right now my flavor of the month junglers are, Shaco if I'm desperate for a win (Shaco is elite, fuck what you heard), Maokai if we need a tank, and Fiora if it's Yasuo mid specifically. I like to take Shyvana vs Amumu as well because Shyvana can really counterjungle the hell out of Amu and make him worthless other than his stuns. If your looking for 1 solid jungler, I'd say Maokai is the safest bet. Start QEWQERWWWWQQRQEEER. Basically you want the extra damage with the 2 points in Q + E to help you clear faster, but you want to prioritize W because of the longer duration root. Maokai is great at SUPPORT CARRYING AS A TANK, meaning you don't get the kills, you feed your team. I like Sotag/merc treads/sunfire/omen/veil/GA as my build in that order.

very effective jgs are xin zhao, lee sin, wu kong if you have a team that can root while you ult or a yasou on your team

yeah, Sejuani is strong, and if you like her you can try out Nautilus as well. Both those tanky junglers are pretty strong with the ANcient GOlem item, and Naut is surprisingly good against attack speed invade junglers like Udyr and Yi, since he has the CC to lock them down

I prefer Sejuani myself.

She has: natural slow resistance, an escape/gap closer that does %max health damage, an aoe pain field that does %her max health damage, a remote damage/slow that you can activate on anyone hit by ANY of your abilities or attacks, and a ranged aoe stun. Her AP ratios and damage are also pretty decent, although I would say her weakness is that she isn't super tanky without items, but she scales very well with health.

If you play support, I'd try Nunu He's always been strong in the jungle, and is capable of denying the enemy jungle the farm he needs. Hell, I once walked into Dragon pit 1v4 and Q+Smited Dragon right from under them.
