Transitioning to a normal mouse (tips plz?)

I've had a laptop for roughly the last 16 years, and even before that used to use a keyboard with a trackpad because at the time gaming wasn't very developed and it was new technology that was pretty cool... before that, a roller ball (same reason!).. so using a normal mouse is SO foreign feeling for me.

I just picked up a new desktop, and have been trying to transition to a regular mouse. I can tell the accuracy is better, but overall I'm just fumbling around like an idiot. I don't even know which finger feels comfortable to use for right click because I've used my thumb for so long. I've been gold in league but am scared to play on my main because I doubt I'd be able to survive in silver like this.

So, this might seem like a ridiculous question, but any tips on how to use a normal mouse? Like even just how people hold their hand.. what fingers they use for what buttons.. how do they program keys etc. for league?

See, I didn't have this problem, because I used my index and middle finger to click on my trakcpad, which lines up perfectly with the mouse. Switching was totally natural to me. Just play some ARAMs and normals, you'll be used to it in a week.

Ya like Farmer said, you'll be used to it in a week. Don't forget you can bind your middle mouse click to do something too; I have mine activate my first item slot (useful for things like Mikael's or Frost Queen's Claim without moving fingers off my ability buttons).

I've used a small mouse for so long that this devastator I just got as a present from my younger brother is completely new to me. Logitech m305 is what Im using.

make sure u have fix your mouse options to highest speed and turn off pointer precision.

trust me, this will make ur gaming 100x better.
