I want to hit gold

Someone should help me with this. I want to hit gold before the end of the season. Help me understand how I can carry as an ADC in silver 5. Because I don't understand it. Csing has got alot easier but 1v2 lane phase, 1v5 team fights are still annoying hard.

Hitting gold is a bad idea. While gold is a soft metal it is still harder then your hand.

No But seriously. Good luck.

plat 5 rn if i commit a little more to play ranked i'd probably be in about plat 1-3 I support often and see the mistakes ADC's do at many elos. If you are ADC there are some idea that NEED to get through to your head

Before the game:

  • Memorize good combinations of adcs and supports. (Explained later)

  • Ban or request to ban huge current threats to you as an adc. (Zed, every juggernaut, nautilus, vi)

  • Kiss up to ur jg (lol this actually helps alot)

  • Look at your team! What do they need? Do you have n diana, ekko, leona, and wu? Do you lack a reliable initiate? Sivir is a good chioce Do you have an amazing frontline? Lucian or kog is great! Do you have a versitile midline with high mobility? Vayne lucian! These are only examples ofc

Laning phase:

  • You NEED to practice lasthitting

  • If you're against a tough lane, (janna vayne/braumlucian) it's ok to go passive. But understand when to go aggressive too. (This is a little harder concept to simply tell to a silver person. You need to understand the way minion natural pushing works, and how important exp advantage is)

  • You NEED to understand the different compatibility levels of adc/supps and how they work (Why Lucian and braum is so popular? Lucian's passive each procs Braum's stun passive. Making it about an instant stun. Soraka/kog? Soraka makes an easy path for kog to farm his way to lategame)

  • You NEED to KNOW AND ANTICIPATE the enemy support and adc's spells. (COUNT SS TIMERS. COUNT SECONDS UNTIL THRESH'S HOOK IS UP. IF UR 300 HP VS CAIT AS SIVIR DONT SPELLSHIELD HER Q WHILE CAIT HAS ULT)

  • Control the lane. This is only a post so i can't really tell you much about this EDIT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WvOq1urZ7c this helps

These ideas are simply lategame. Also these only include the responsibilities of an adc. Supports have a whole nother can of worms Lategame: This is where the "Look at your team" is really important *Don't get caught. (This is a little of the support's responsibility but not ALL of it)

*Don't separate from your team. Even if you're being occupied by an enemy. I often see a vayne kiting away from a sion but also away from her team trying to peel for her. Then, /all no peel report team

  • It's not necessarily your job to focus enemy targets. Yes, if you have the opportunity go for it! Opportunity: Entire enemy team left enemy caitlyn alone Not opportunity: Cait is in middle of team. Better jump in and try to kill her but instantly die!

  • If you have to focus a tank, at least it's damage being dealt

i copied this from a fourm i made for my struggling silver friends

Lot of things happen as i went through the elos. After climbing my main to diamond 2 ( Peak ). I created a smurf and went from bronze to plat 2 atm all over summer. I learned lots of things and different things in each elo.

Playing adc in bronze or silver is frankly easy. People are unresponsive and coordination is absolutely horrible. Every couple games you get a smurf or a tryhard who carries the game, but besides this most people arent good. Just complainers who like to cry about their teammates and why they can't climb. You wanna get to gold? means you have to learn the game and carry yourself. Reading tips and stuff helps but what helps most if being able to get into the mindset of a carry.

This means you don't flame at your team. Why should you? It's bronze/silver and people suck, you can't expect anything from them. Except focus on your gameplay solely. Work on simple things like csing better, and getting kills that you know will help you carry. Only 2 carries I played during my climb, was graves and vayne. Graves simply because of his strong kit. Ability to destroy most of all other adcs even when behind. It's hard to explain how to climb to someone. You just need to get better at the game. Being aware, and most importantly how to handle yourself in situations. For example, I really enjoyed playing vayne during climbing because of how easy it was. The enemy adc misplays and is out of position, I take advantage of it and kill her. Even when the fights are going bad, my experiences and knowledge of the game allow me to make clutch plays like cleaning up fights.

If you can't adc well enough to the point where you can outplay most other plays, I don't suggest playing adc. Itd be easier to carry through low elo with someone like daruis or skarner or morde. Super meta and super strong. They can't ban all the strong champions.

Position, kite, engage, disengage, re engage, always keep a distance. Low Elo adc's always go into fucking melee form.

ADC isn't exactly in the best place right now. If you wanna climb and fast pick up Elise, Ekko, and Master Yi. Master the jungle. Carry the game.

Yeah I want to hit gold as well its just something about the ranked queue annoys me alot. Not toxic or bad players just something about the queue throws me off.

You can only expect to win with any regularity from bot lane if your lane partner is someone you have practiced with a lot and are in voice communication (whether in person or through a chat program).

Silly, don't you know? You're already gold! http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/images/2015/Jan/gold-silver-9-1.jpg

If you want, and have any, I can take the gold you want to have, and speculate it for you. I'll return a 0.01% dividend yearly. Although, you have to remember I have to follow Free Enterprise Market, the best market in the world, trading rules. Just sign here on the dotted line.

If you are really committed to playing adc I would suggest playing self sufficient adc's. In low elo people don't understand how to peel so most of the time you will just have two teams running into each other trying to kill rather than trying to peel for the damage dealers. In this situation low mobility adc's that rely on team peel are screwed. Champions like Corki, and Tristana are extremely strong in this situation not only do they have escapes but they have a lot of burst damage to try to get quick kills to swing the fight.

The second piece of advice I have is to build defensive. Since I already stated you can't rely on your team you have to give your self the best chance to survive so you can put out the most damage. That means getting early life steal and maybe even a qss if your really vulnerable to dives. While it will be tempting to just build damage and rely on that you can't because no matter how many damage items you get you will always be squishy.

The last piece of advice I have is to get and upgrade yellow trinket. While blue trinket is standard for adc most teams lack of wards gets them in more trouble them face checking. People will face check almost no matter what but so long as you keeps wards up you can place yourself around objectives as safely as possible.

If you're in a situation where you are trying to 1v5 the enemy team... you're doing it wrong.

Best thing you can do in the ADC role in such a low ELO is to control your blood lust. Remember this priority list and you should do alright: Nexus > Inhibitor > Baron > Turrets > Dragon > Kills If their support is backing under their tower with 60 hp, let them back. Don't make a move on their ADC until you see they has backed. Now that you have confirmed that you have a 2v1 (or 2v2 situation if jungler shows up) you want to engage and kill the ADC before the support can get back to lane because a lone support by itself is useless. And even if you don't kill the enemy ADC take chip shots at the enemy tower and the enemy ADC. Bonus points if you make the ADC back and you get free hits on the enemy tower. Then you back and by the time you get back to lane the enemy will be overextended and vulnerable to a gank. Now make a hard engage and pursue some kills.

Yes I want to hit gold too, however I keep getting games filled with toxic players that give up at 5 min in (I'm in Silver 1 0 LP, my next game NEEDS to be a win if I want to stay in Silver 1).
