I really want to play her a lot, or even main her, even though people laugh at me, flame me, etc. I want to go to ranked with her as well.
I know she is pretty "underscored" from other ADCs, but she's really fun to play as and I love her AoE/poke/teamfight playstyle.
Btw is there any incoming buffs/nerfs? Please detail that too if you can... thanks! 
They haven't been too open about it, but she is getting a minor rework that will touch on make it rain.
All I can say about MF is that last season, when I mained her in ranked for a little while, I had a 44% win rate with her. When I switched to Jinx, I had a 68% win rate. A 24% difference at approximately the same skill level. No doubt MF can be fun to play when she's fed (and people do often underestimate her far more), but she is really hard to get off the ground with.
Probably the most important thing is learning how to correctly use her Double up to hit the enemy champions as best you can.

It will seem scary, but stand your ground if they poke you and fight back, 
is a strong duelist but this girl can go toe to toe and I've had it where I come out on top and usually goes 'wtf is this damage'...really buddy? you're the one playing Lucy. :|
Make sure the instant you start trading and throwing autos, press your w and activate the click dps spec. Throw in a q if it's up and you should come out relatively on top. Literally, just stand there and auto, it does sooo much more damage.
Also, realize you don't really have an escape outside of move speed and a flash. So position very safely in team fights, only ult when their's pretty much nothing else to do. A 
as an early defensive item is helpful for when you have an 'ah crap' moment. 
can be broken by too many non important spells for me to really use. On top of which, builds into 
. 50% move speed bonus helps re position as well.

. She is really fun and rewarding to play when done correctly but holy moley, can it be difficult. :c
According to a matrix, Miss Fortune actually does better than most ADCs in the game. She has more kills, assists, gold, cs, while also having less deaths. She has a higher winrate than most ADCs and one of the highest pentakill averages in the game. Remember that ALL of this is constant and never changes except maybe like by 0.01% - 0.1% which doesn't really matter.
Don't let the community fool you, Miss Fortune is EXTREMELY strong right now. Everyone thought Urgot was trash tier, but he isn't and neither is Miss Fortune.
Tips to playing Miss Fortune from a long time main:
-Remember that her W passive gives her up to 48% AD on each auto attack late game if you hit them enough. -Use your Auto Attack > Q > Auto Attack for resets. It's basically 3 auto attacks instantly. -Miss Fortune's early game is strong, but her mid game is REALLY strong. -Don't be afraid to ult, but don't ult for no reason. -Her E can check brushes. -Don't underestimate her E -Really, don't underestimate her E. -Her E while chasing someone due to it's high range can slow them by the tip of it and let you catch up or force them to flash. -Your ult scales off AD, don't let anyone fool you. -Your ult also applies Grevious Wounds. -Your passive is cancelled by minions, but if you kill a caster minion but the spell still flies at you and hits you, it won't have any effect on your passive. -Your Q damage is doubled by bouncing it off. -When you attack someone, you apply a debuff called Impure Shots that stacks (it's your W passive.) people with this are prioritized by your Q Double. -Miss Fortune has the highest base health for any ADC I think, so building Frozen Mallet can make you really tanky for some reason. -Miss Fortune counters most ADCs, don't be afraid to fight. -Watch out for Miss Fortune's cast times though, both her Q and E have very short ones but it's important to remember. -Miss Fortune does high magic damage with her auto attacks and abilities, so you hard counter people like Taric who just spam armor all game.

Gragas now currently is one of the highest banned champions of Season 5, and Urgot according to Riot is extremely toxic and they want to rework him after seeing constant LCS picks and bans.
