Silver V/ SoloQ or DuoQ??

I'm currently a support main it seems, Don't know how it happened but it just did. So whenever I duoq with my friend who's pretty good and I can usually get Fed, We're ALWAYS on the blue side, and it seems that when this happens there are just players who are VERY bad on our team, so much so they if we do great bot lane and get fed there is still a big chance we can lose. My question is: Should I just give up on duoq because it's attracting the worst of the worst every game, and just start playing soloq so im not always at a disadvantage? I'm pretty decent at support and understand the game well but that's not enough alone in my elo. I'm just trying to climb.

If ur duo q, the game will try to match u with another duo q, so it doesn't really attract bad team mates. In the case that the game can't find another duo q to match against u, u will be placed in a slightly higher rank match, about 1 or 2 divisions. This is to make up for the fact that u have communication with another player. If u solo q, support is the hardest role to carry from, I'm not saying that supports can't carry, I'm saying that if ur a challenger mid u would probably win 95% of ur match in silver but if ur challenger support, u would probably win about 70%. So if u have a good adc, it's better to duo.

Both are fine, the more important thing is to always win your lane, and always snowball games by roaming a lot. Especially if you are support, picking champs like Blitz/Ali/Naut who can reliably roam and get kills, its a good option.
