Plat II two weeks ago, demoted down to Gold I... What happened?

Hello everyone,

I used to be a mid plat level player who usually play jungle and top and was looking forward to hitting diamond some day. I felt pretty good about my play and was generally winning more than I lost. One day, I was alternating losses and wins in low plat III and there were suddenly two games in a row in which there were leavers. From this point, I went on a huge, downward spiral in which my record in ranked has been abysmal. I went from around 15 games above .500 to 21 games below in two weeks! Help guys, whats going on?

I do occasionally rage but I usually start my day off with a good attitude in games. I've tried to fix my attitude during games, but when I go on a long losing streak, I really tilt and start making poor decisions. I also try to talk in game with other players but they hardly respond. Please let me know of some advice.

The problem is when people get on losing streaks they keep playing because they want to win so badly, and when you do this, the negativity inside your own head whether it manifests itself in the game or not spirals with your games down the drain.

Sometimes you need a break after a loss, go outside, go for a 30 min jog and come back refreshed with a new attitude.

Make sure you communicate with your team in games the right way, both pings and chat Make sure you encourage people who are doing bad If you allies aren't warding their lanes, don't be afraid to go out of your way Always and I mean Always, pick someone who can carry hard if you feel your team cant Never vote to surrender, even its a 1v5, use this time to watch other high level players, and assess what you can do against people with similar play styles Don't focus on the losing streak, focus on the potential for wins Stay positive And when all else fails, remember the 5 D's Dodge Dip Duck Dive & Dodge

IfritsBackHurts is right. You probably have the skills to reach your objectives, it's all about positivity.

Haha,

Well, you are Gold now because you are playing like a Gold player or even worse.

Keep us updated on how far you fall.

recognize you're on tilt and cut your losses by taking a break

playing on tilt is basically gg to your rank

Playing on tilt can be rough, bro. I went from my D2 promos to P5 over the course of a month. I was to stupid to, but taking a break isn't a bad idea. If you're consistently loosing, play some norms or something to get your head back in the game. Also, don't get into the 'fuck it' mentality. Lol. After I'd dropped so far, I decided that I might as well start trying to learn new champs since I was way below my elo. Bad idea. Stick with your play style and your champs and you'll get back up eventually. I'm not back at ~D2 yet, but I'm back in diamond; that's good enough for me. lol.

You are a victim of your own tryharding and also should never go to a casino. As above you needed to jump off ranked a bit and detox. You also probably should duoQ when coming back in.
