Tips for Low Elo Player Trying to Carry

I seem to be physically unable to win games.

I recently got demoted B5 (make fun of me) after losing 10 games in a row in ranked. Most of these games, I did simply did poorly, as expected. But there were a few games that i did extremely well, and still lost. I read so many threads saying something like, "If you dont belong in Bronze, you should carry every game" but that just isn't reasonable. For instance, my last game, which led me to make this post, I was 20-6- on Nidalee jungle. I got a very good lead on all of my lanes, giving them some early kills or assists, but then they fell apart. Our ADC and support wouldn't stop flaming and complaining, and no matter how much i ganked mid, she still lost 4 kills to their Vel. I kept getting pick through mid game, and was full build by 30 minutes, with the most farm, kills, and assists on my team.

I'm not blaming my team. I really want to get make that clear.

I have some friends in higher elo (Masters and Plat) and they spectated a couple of my games. Their main concern was with my decision making after lane phase. So please, any advice for what to take advantage of or look for in a late game scenario would be great.

Thanks in advance.

If you have 20 kills before lame phase is out you should be able to single handily push to inner towers and 1v1 if not 1v2 anyone that tries dealing with you. Kills == carrying. Objectives decides if your carrying or not.

i have just recently gotten a bronze account and i have realized where a lot of bronze players make their mistakes. so here is some advice.

-dont look at your score. at all its unimportant if you want to carry your team.period. you can go 0/30/0 and still carry (be the reason your team one) look at a singed player.

-get your team on board. dont herrass and say your better. congratz good things and encourage them when they make mistakes.

-if a player trolls or afk. treat the game as a 4v5 focus on warding to pick people off and heavily on objective control.

-look at your team comp. dont play amumu with a team full of poke champs just because hes a tank.

-watch death timers. if you win a team fight and your all 10% hp dont back, push a lane/ take enemy jungle buffs but dont stay past them respawning. watch timers closely.

-dont fight fair. just because your sure u can 1v1 that scrub top. if your jungler is close. get him in on the assist.

-focus your cc. yi, trynd, adc's, apc's hyper carries need to be warded for and picked off. before teamfights is possible.

-should you teamfight? is your team a better teamfighter champ comp wise.

-be what your team needs in champ select not what will give you a good k/d/a

-thier is a 1000 things bronze players overlook because it doesnt have a concrete way to show thier dominance like the kda score. but you dont want a good kda score, you want out of bronze right?

You should learn to play those champions that can hard carry. Personally, I feel that jungle isn't much of a superb carry role. Try Nidalee mid, it is pretty strong. Maybe Runeglaive mid Nidalee will work like Ezreal. Pick champions with loads of carry potential. Mid lane or ADC would be my best picks. Some strong carries right now would be Vayne and Jinx. I see quite a few in Bronze, and they don't require too much skill, bsaically just poke and kite, poke and kite. As for Mid lane, I feel that the tank meta is dying, so the mid laners I'm watching are the burst mage assassins. What I mean is those champions that are mages that can easily sneak up on you and do their entire combo and four shot you. Some examples are Annie, Jayce, and Lux. Annie is my favorite because once she hits six she can jut flash in, tibbers stun, q, w, GG. So those are my champion picks on how to get out of bronze.

The second thing: What is your goal? Are you trying to get better at the game? Or simple get out of bronze? If you just want to get out of bronze, you're not proving much beside not being in bronze. You're still probably a bronze player at heart, and you got our because of luck. If you want to get better at the game, then you'll climb easier. First, you have to know the basics of League. What I mean by basics are combos, basic tips, item sets, etc. Once you learn these basics, it will be pretty easy to climb the elo ladder and become a better player.

Hopefully this helps you climb!

May the Urgot be with you.

Dude I used to be so much worse than you are right now it's not even funny. Something I did that has recently started helping me climb is this particular drill.

Avoid kills. Login to normal and try to win the game without dealing final blow to anybody unless it's a team fight. You're trying to get through laning phase actively trying to not kill anyone. Play normal mode as purely dragon oriented as possible. The only time you do anything but trade and poke is for dragon basically, then go HAM.

What I found, and I bet as a hyper aggressive fellow player you'll notice it to, was that I started dying a hell of a lot less. My farming became much better. Teams came together for drags which conditioned them to group better later mid game.

My pacing changed in my mind and since I wasn't roaming around trying to kill people I'd be watching the map more and spotting minion waves on time. Trying to find ways to fight and locate people can really distract you from towers.

Give this a try in some normals, you'll lose a lot but it'll change how you think hopefully

To give my advice some credit when i was in bronze i mained Zed so atleast u know where i stood champion pool wise. I would carry i would say 80% of my games yet i had just barely a 50% win ratio the trick is league is a team game so of course getting one person insanely fed on ur team is nice but it doesnt help if u are fighting with one hand behind ur back for ex. 10-2 zed im ahead by quite a bit and i see a adc and sup i know i can go in and at least kill thier adc so i go in and kill their adc and niether my adc or sup get an assist sure that relieves some pressure but it doesnt directly benifiet anyone besides u. The best way to carry is to get ur team to a point to where u dont need to carry for example ur already fed so try giving a couple kills to ur adc or jungle or top. basically once u have ur lead extend that lead to the rest of ur team like towers dragons and giving them kills and most importantly protect them, it doesnt help if ur fed and then the rest of ur team get 2 or 3 players on the enemy team just as fed so ping alot (not spamming) try and ping mia not just for ur own lane but for others ping where the jungler is ping where wards are ping objectives that are available to get be a kinda supportive carry but for reference as long as u have a 50 % win ratio u should be able to reach as high as ive heard is plat so just keep up ur hopes and stay determined
