From what I've heard, Bork is a better dueling item, Hydra is good for a more burst oriented build, but may not be necessary. Up to you.

Get Brutalizer into BoTRK, never buy hydra and don't waste gold on buying the daggers in the recipe.

if you lane is really hard, get brutalizer to get more damage than get , if your lane is doing ok, get first. if you think the match is super easy, get 5 (you can get 1000 ad)

for zed, is blade of the ruined king better than ravenous hydra?

I think yes because it gives zed more attack speed of 1v1's and LCS players buy it first item.

You dont really need hydra, since zed isnt really a tank. Bork gives zed good speed and element of surprise. I would say Bork is better than Hydra for zed= not really
